Tillie Bean (2025)
In loving memory of Tillie Bean. Passed away July 30, 2025.
Their Story
Tillie was the best girl there ever was.. She had a really rough life in the beginning.. at 4 years old she was found in an abandoned shelter in AZ and then brought to a shelter in WV..my husband and I just moved into our first house and he saw her photo on Facebook and he knew we needed her here..he brought her home and we found out she had so many medical problems one of which included heart worms.. We put her through treatments which were rough on her..countless EM vet trips in the middle of the night.. several medications..she had constant ear infections that were impossible to clear up.. She loved car rides, chicken nuggets from McDonald’s,Kraft singles and kisses while she was laying on her couch..we spoiled her as much as humanly possible.. she finally found her forever home.. We adopted a yellow lab in 2024 so she could have a baby to keep her company. she hated her at first bc all she did was climb and bug her but over the first year she grew to love her little sister.. One night she started leaking from her back end..I stayed home with her all day the next day..it wasn’t stopping..my husband came home to me inconsolable..we rushed her to the EM vet to find out it was pyometra and there was nothing else we could’ve done for her.. It was the toughest decision we’ve ever had to make and the worst day of our lives..she was my husbands main girl..it hurt him so much he left once she was unconscious and could no longer hear him..I stayed the whole entire time..until her very last breath because I couldn’t bare leaving her alone in a place she hated.. I kept telling her she was the best girl we could’ve ever had, that we all loved her so much it physically hurt and I sang her a song I would sing to her when we cuddled.. I have relived that moment of her taking her last breathe every day over the past year and it haunts me.. she was only 10 years old..still a baby in my eyes.. I kiss her photo next to my bed every night and still look at her photos and talk to her often on my way to work.. I wish she was still here but I know she’s not in pain anymore..I can only hope she’s up there with my childhood dog Chloe Moo..laying on Gods couch eating her body weight in chicken nuggies and kraft singles… I’ll love you forever Bean.. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life.
