Max (2012 – 2026)

Their Story

Max was a golden retriever. He was born on the 4th of June, 2012, and he died on the 5th of June, 2026 — the day after his fourteenth birthday. The hardest part was never the first day. It was about two weeks later, when everyone else had moved on and I was still walking into rooms to check on him. I kept wishing there were somewhere to put it. Not somewhere to get over him — somewhere to keep him. So I built this. Max has a star here. That's the whole reason any of this exists.
